NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an entry-level PV Solar Field Technician for Appleseed Solar in Logansport, IN. You will help operate and maintain solar PV collection assemblies, battery storage, and AC/DC inverters across multiple plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations.

In this role, you will maintain tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in good condition, perform daily inspections, troubleshoot electrical and power electronics, and support

Position Specific Description

This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This position will be based out of the Appleseed Solar in Logansport, IN. The intended employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations.

In this role, an employee will maintain all tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition, provide inspections of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic trouble shooting for a solar arrays and inverters.

Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power.

A candidate would be responsible for supporting teammates in nearby states in the region, and maintainting reliability, operations and maintenance for sites assigned area
