Job summary

Our Oceanside, CA client seeks an Associate Scientist, Purification Process Development to support purification process development, characterization, scale-up, and technology transfer for biologics in pivotal and commercial development. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, GMP manufacturing support, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Job Duration: Long Term Contract; Pay rate is $45/hr on W2.

Qualifications

MS + 2 years or BS + 4 years of relevant experience in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related discipline.
Strong hands-on experience with biologics purification process development.

Responsibilities

Design and execute purification process development and characterization studies.
Perform laboratory-scale purification experiments and analyze experimental data.
Support process scale-up, technology transfer, and implementation at internal and external GMP manufacturing facilities.
Develop and document experimental protocols, reports, and electronic laboratory records.
Provide technical support for manufacturing investigations and atypical events.
Support purification platform development and evaluation of new technologies.
Mentor junior team members on purification strategies, experimental design, and process transfer.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and external partners.
Maintain laboratory operations, equipment, compliance, safety, and data integrity standards.
