Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Process Development Engineer I to join the Purification Development team in PMPD. This on-site, full-time role blends software engineering, data science, and bioprocess expertise to build data tools that support purification workflows.

You will partner with scientists and engineers to improve data flows, develop pipelines, and enable data-driven decision making across purification processes, contributing to continuous improvement and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with 0-3 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in bioprocess development, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a closely related domain.
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop data tools to solve complex, real-world problems.
• Programming skills in Python and SQL, with an understanding of data modeling and database design.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments and using Git for version control and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with scientists, engineers, and analysts to understand purification development workflows and identify high-impact opportunities to improve data flows
• Aggregate, clean, and structure complex datasets to enable scalable, repeatable analyses and visualizations
• Design, develop, and apply statistical and modeling techniques to drive data-informed decision-making and accelerate daily operations
• Deploy data pipelining and aggregation tools that help engineers easily find the data they need and derive insights
• Maintain communication with Purification and IT stakeholders to evaluate solutions
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers across PMPD to improve best practices and teach citizen developers
• Enhance, maintain, and extend existing analytics tools and platforms to support new use cases and evolving business needs
• Contribute as an active member of Agile teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), supporting planning, delivery, and continuous improvement
