Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Two years administrative work experience in purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review forecast and inventory, determine delivery dates, and place purchase orders with suppliers.
• Reviews inventory levels on a weekly basis and adjusts as needed.
• Maintain pricing, pallet quantities, and unit of measure data accuracy.
• Maintain files for replenishment including bags, ingredients, packaging.
• Maintain off-site bulk orders and relationships with suppliers.
• Update ingredients and packaging components as needed.
• Maintain system master data: pricing, units, vendors, ordering parameters.
• Perform other duties for Purchasing Managers as assigned.
• Adhere to Company Core Values and standards.
• 2+ years admin experience in purchasing/inventory preferred.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Review forecast and inventory, determine delivery dates, and place purchase orders with suppliers.
• Reviews inventory levels on a weekly basis and adjusts as needed.
• Performs necessary changes to maintain accuracy of essential information such as pricing, pallet quantities, unit of measure.
• Maintain all necessary files for replenishment i.e., bags, ingredients, packaging, etc.
• Maintain off-site bulk orders.
• Develop and maintain internal and external relationships, including suppliers.
• Update ingredients and packaging components.
• Maintain system master data, including but not limited to pricing, units of measure, vendors, ordering parameters (minimums/multiples).
• Perform any other related duties assigned by Purchasing Managers.
• Adhere to and follow the Company’s Core Values
• Preferred 2 years administrative work experience, in purchasing and inventory management.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Critical Skills and Expertise

• Knowledge and proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and other Windows based programs, including Outlook. Experience with ERP/MRP system is desirable; Microsoft NAV preferred.
• Advanced Excel Skills preferred with proficiency in functions and formulas (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF formulas).
• Basic understanding of purchasing principles and general accounting procedures and rules.
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques, researching, and determining the most appropriate course of action and best resolution.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate and apply broad computer technology in a wide array of functional areas.
• Must possess excellent communication, analytical, and people skills and the ability to successfully manage conflicts and pressures associated with meeting multiple deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high sense of self-efficacy.
• Capable of understanding complex instructions, reading notices, and working schedule.
• Ability to record input (data entry) information accurately.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal instruction and supervision.
• Ability to work independently and make independent judgments.
• Ability to follow an activity through implementation
