Job summary

Sonaca North America in Auburn, WA seeks a Production / Purchasing Support Clerk to assist Shipping and Administrative work centers. You will help coordinate with outside processors and contribute to on-time delivery goals by supporting workflow improvements and adherence to our quality policies.

The role involves processing purchase orders, receiving vendor certificates, scanning documents, and verifying outside processes before moving tasks to the next operation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Access required.
• Ability to type at least 30 wpm and perform data entry.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and using purchasing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive certs from vendors, copy and pull work orders.
• Scan documents into OnBase and verify outside processes.
• Write purchase orders for subcontracting and outside processing as needed.
• Support PO processing flow within the team.
• Assist with general Shipping and Administrative duties.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Production / Purchasing Support position to support the Shipping and Administrative work centers by assisting in the work flow to Outside Processors and in performance improvement to meet LMI’s 100% on-time delivery objective. In all actions supports LMI’s Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other LMI policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.

Pay Rate - $20- $23 per hour DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hardness and Conductivity for Temper Inspection
• Receive certs from vendors, make copies and pull work orders
• Scan documents into OnBase
• Verify outside processes and document on work order and move to next operation
• Forklift certified (optional)
• Assist with PO processing flow within team.
• Write purchase orders for subcontract and outside processing as necessary
• All duties assigned by the Supervisor and or other members of the management team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

• High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
• Demonstrates ability to successfully manage multiple priorities or tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrates proficiency with computers: Excel, Word and Access software.
• Knowledge of AS 400 purchasing systems (ie:jobscope) a plus
• Demonstrates ability to accurately type a minimum of 30 words per minute and perform alpha-numeric data entry at a minimum of 4000 keystrokes per

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
• May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
