Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC through WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a 1-year contract (W-2). You will create and manage POs, support data cleanup, and help transition the SRM system to GEP, working with procurement, planning, finance, and suppliers to ensure smooth purchasing workflows.

The role reports to the onsite manager and emphasizes safe, compliant purchasing practices with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or related operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Comfortable working with ERP, SRM, or procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders (POs) and promptly.
• Manage and maintain existing POs, including updates, confirmations, and issue resolution.
• Support special projects, such as identifying past due purchase orders; data cleanup and validation; prepare SRM for transition to GEP.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth purchasing workflows.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and reporting.
• Help with process improvements and standardization across the supply chain.

About the role:

We're looking for a Purchasing Specialist on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will manage and maintain existing POs, including updates, confirmations, and issue resolution.
