Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Gregory, TX is seeking a procurement specialist to manage bidder lists, evaluate supplier bids, and issue requests for quotes for the Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction project. You will coordinate with Construction and Operations to align requisitions with project needs and ensure compliance with PO requirements.

The role involves preparing bid packages, negotiating terms, and processing PO changes to manage cost and schedule impacts across a large LNG infrastructure

• Identifies, defines, and secures agreement regarding purchase order changes
• Initiates and processes purchase order revisions that establish scope and effects on cost and schedule of agreed upon changes

Project Overview

The Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay in Gregory, Texas. The 1,000+ acre facility started bulk early works in July 2015 as the first greenfield export facility in the United States. Bechtel has successfully and safely completed construction and it now consists of three operating Trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately fifteen million tons per year (MTPA), three LNG storage tanks with combined capacity of 480,000 cubic meters of LNG, 2 Jetty superstructures that can accommodate the world’s largest vessels, and dozens of associated buildings and utilities. Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project Stage 3 (CCL3) is a new phase at the existing CCL facility and will consist of seven midscale liquefaction trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 10 MTPA and associated infrastructure including utilities. CCL3 will perform all this work predominantly on a direct hire basis with support from only a few specialty and service subcontractors.

Job Summary

In this role, you will perform tasks, under the direction of your supervisor, involved in the formation and administration of purchase orders. You will prepare bidders’ lists, qualify bidders, form bid packages, issue bid requests, participate in negotiations, recommend commitments, secure approvals, communicate with suppliers and monitor supplier performance. Your efforts are to ensure potential and current suppliers comply with purchase order requirements and provide the required service and results to meet project needs.

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Experience with the Digital Supply Chain and capable to support construction by reviewing, assigning, and approving requisitions and field purchase orders.
• Knowledge of suppliers in the local and national market for specific commodities essential to semiconductor fabrication and structures
• Skilled in negotiating with suppliers on pricing, terms and conditions, and delivery requirements
• Knowledge of field expediting and experience interacting with field engineers, construction superintendents, and craft professionals
