Compensation Range: $150,000–$200,000 Job Description

Our client is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement of materials that support manufacturing operations, ensuring material availability, competitive costs, quality, and supplier performance.

This role develops sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, and leads a purchasing team responsible for supporting operational and business objectives. You will work closely with Operations, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to address supply challenges and keep manufacturing requirements on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
• Manage supplier performance through established metrics and corrective actions, improving on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost.
• Partner with Operations, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to ensure material availability and proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
• Lead negotiations for supplier pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing activities to balance customer requirements, working capital, and inventory objectives.
• Support new product introductions, supplier qualifications, and dual-source initiatives to improve supply chain resilience.
• Develop and mentor the purchasing team, building accountability and collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Five or more years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective supplier relationships and improve supplier performance.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred

Experience in aerospace manufacturing and AS9100 environments.
