Position Overview: LJS Solutions is seeking a skilled and proactive Purchasing Manager to lead and execute all purchasing activities. This role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable taking ownership of daily purchasing tasks, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials to support our projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly handle the day-to-day purchasing of materials, equipment, and supplies for jobs, service calls, and inventory.
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, confirm order accuracy, and track deliveries to ensure on-time performance.
  • Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, and market conditions to support data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, pricing, and supplier communications.
  • Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and project teams to align purchasing efforts with company goals.
Qualifications:

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and handle purchasing responsibilities independently.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data analysis, reporting).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with procurement or ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of material handling and storage systems is a plus.
