Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. in Mundelein, IL is seeking a Purchasing Manager to own the flow of materials, coordinating between vendors, manufacturing, and warehouse to keep production on time and costs in check.

You will drive procurement, planning, inventory, and warehouse activities, using ERP systems and warehouse management practices to maintain tight data and responsive operations on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4 years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations with emphasis on purchasing, planning, inventory, and warehouse management.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and warehouse management practices.
• Ability to read and understand pick lists, part numbers, and basic product drawings.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in lighting or electrical component handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

Purchasing Manager - Own the flow that keeps production moving

Lead the supply chain engine, not just the paperwork

You see purchasing as mission-critical, not clerical. In this role, you’ll own the flow of raw materials, components, and supplies that keep production on time and customers happy.

You’ll be the point person between vendors, manufacturing, and the warehouse—aligning supply with demand, protecting margins, and driving real efficiency.

What You'll Work On

You’ll sit at the center of supply chain operations, with your hands on:
