Job summary

CFS is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Grayslake, IL to join a family-owned manufacturing team. This role reports directly to leadership and offers a high-visibility path to influence cost savings and supplier relations.

You will forecast material needs, purchase materials, negotiate terms, and ensure production schedules have what they need. A strong emphasis on analytics, ERP usage, and collaboration with operations drives success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within manufacturing.
• Experience purchasing raw materials, fabricated products, metals, plastics, or related components.
• Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management experience.
• Experience forecasting demand and supporting production schedules.
• ERP system experience and strong Excel skills required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Hands-on, adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
