• Track procurements to meet promised delivery dates.
• Manage receiving, inventory and kitting operations.
• Prevent production part shortages and errors in procurement.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in the ERP system.
• Lead buyers and inventory specialists.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders as needed.

Overview

Growing Manufacturing Company has a need for a Purchasing Manager in Butte, MT. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package and relocation.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing equipment, goods and services and bringing those items to the production floor.
• Perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of existing vendors, as well as searching for reliable new suppliers with improved costing structure.
• Oversee receiving, inventory stocking, kitting and delivery to the shop floor.
• Ensure quantity and timing of component deliveries.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Track and follow up on procurements to ensure promised delivery dates are maintained.
• Manage receiving, inventory and kitting operations.
• Eliminate production parts shortages and issuing errors.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory counts in the ERP system.
• Manage buyers and inventory specialists.
• Write and execute Purchase Orders as needed.
• Follow historical and competitive vendor costs to obtain the best pricing possible to guard against price gouging.
