Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group in Dearborn, Michigan is seeking a Senior Purchasing Lead to own the strategic sourcing program for marketing and IT spend. You will lead end-to-end sourcing, negotiate contracts and drive TCO improvements across indirect categories.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years in strategic sourcing and a proven track record negotiating favorable terms. Collaboration with Legal, Finance and Privacy teams is essential to success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience with marketing- and IT-related spend.
• 5+ years of contract negotiation experience.
• 4+ years formulating strategies and driving initiatives.
• 4+ years of experience in the digital media, advertising and marketing industries.
• Experience with contract management systems, ERP systems and sourcing workflow tools (Gatekeeper or NetSuite).
• Demonstrated fluency with AI-enabled tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve the strategic sourcing program, its policies and procedures, and drive its adoption across the organization.
• Manage assigned indirect spend categories (marketing, advertising, media, research and analytics, PR, digital, web design, consulting, staff augmentation and software) to deliver annual cost savings and cost avoidance.
• Run sourcing events and negotiate contracts with favorable terms and conditions, working with the Legal team to finalize agreements.
• Perform financial analysis, especially Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and document all savings achieved.
• Lead supplier due diligence and supplier management, including assessments with the Security and Privacy teams.
• Create benchmarks to measure competitive rates and performance against business objectives, and monitor market conditions.
• Present concise sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, analyses and risks to VP-level stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve the efficiency, accuracy and quality of sourcing work.

Dearborn, Michigan | Hybrid (in office Tuesday to Thursday) | Full-Time | Direct Hire | Senior Level

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is seeking a Purchasing Lead to own the strategic sourcing function of a growing digital marketing company in Dearborn, Michigan.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing of software, services and products, with a focus on marketing, advertising and technology spend, securing high-quality suppliers and favorable commercial terms while reducing cost and risk.

THE CHALLENGE

The company buys a wide range of marketing and IT services, from media and digital advertising to consulting, staff augmentation and software. It needs a sourcing leader who can build the right strategy for each category, run sourcing events, negotiate strong contracts and clearly explain the total cost of ownership to the business.

The role is highly cross-functional: you will partner with Legal, Finance, Security and Privacy, and present sourcing strategies and supplier recommendations to VP-level stakeholders and above.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of contract negotiation experience.
• 4+ years formulating strategies and driving initiatives.
• 4+ years of experience in the digital media, advertising and marketing industries.
• Experience with contract management systems, ERP systems and sourcing workflow tools (such as Gatekeeper or NetSuite).
• Demonstrated fluency with AI-enabled tools and an understanding of their appropriate use and limitations.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience developing and implementing sourcing methodologies.
• An MBA and/or a degree in Finance.
