Job summary

Imperial Brady is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to collaborate with supply chain, transportation, operations, and sales to optimize customer satisfaction and financial results through effective communication on fill rate and inventory planning.

Responsibilities include handling orders, back-orders, special-order status, and market intelligence while supporting inventory inquiries and supplier issues across regions.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in inventory management or purchasing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, detail-oriented, analytical, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of internal and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills; proficient with Word and Excel.
• Good math skills and ability to perform basic operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor large sales orders and adjust as needed.
• Review and resolve back-orders.
• Monitor and communicate special-order status.
• Support and manage sales intake for inventory inquiries, market intelligence, supplier issues, and communication.
• Manage emergency need intake, order fulfillment and communication.
• Coordinate priority inbound purchase orders with operations support.
• Partner with operations for inbound supplier issues.
• Collaborate with accounts payable on supplier receiving discrepancies.
• Manage customer return intake processing.
• Coordinate with operations on over, short and damaged receiving.
