Job summary

Toyota in Saline, Michigan, is seeking a Purchasing Analyst with strong data analytics to shape sourcing strategies and cost models for supplier negotiations. You will support the PSD Buying Department and help ensure fair compensation and competitive cost structures across the North American supply chain.

Responsibilities include developing metrics, dashboards, and decision-ready analyses for leadership reviews, while coordinating with internal stakeholders on cost-improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with analytics and negotiation experience.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or cost analysis with data-driven insights.
• Ability to model costs, scenarios and benchmarking for supplier decisions.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI or BI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies using data-driven analysis for cost efficiency.
• Lead cost modeling, scenario analysis and benchmarking for negotiations.
• Track KPIs and report insights to leadership with dashboards.
• Support annual price reviews and supplier performance initiatives.
• Monitor commodity market trends to guide supplier choices.
• Maintain supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
