Job summary

Waste Gas Fabricating Co. Inc. in Fairless Hills, PA is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team and ensure accurate, timely purchasing in a safe, deadline-driven environment.

Duties include expediting deliveries, maintaining bill of material and vendor master records, evaluating supplier performance, planning and releasing purchase orders, and supporting the production plan. Requires 5+ years in purchasing, steel-industry knowledge, supplier management, and strong inventory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related Purchasing experience.
• Steel industry knowledge is required.
• Supplier and Vendor management.
• Inventory knowledge.
• Ability to work with Production and Operations teams to plan supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost reduction initiatives when purchasing needed products for daily operations.
• Expedite delivery of purchased parts and maintain accurate BOM, item, and vendor master records.
• Manage supplier improvement efforts and evaluate supplier performance.
• Analyze inventory levels to determine efficient purchasing on a monthly basis.
• Plan and release purchase orders to support the production plan.
• Drive strategic supplier selection to ensure best-in-class suppliers can support programs.
• Perform monthly inventory and provide accurate month-end reports.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

In business since 1976, our 100,000 square foot facility islocated in Fairless Hills, PA.

We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent toadd to our team.

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for ensuring accurate andtimely purchasing of specific products as required in a safe andtimely manner.

Experience in the steel industry is essential.

Duties include:

• Performing cost reduction initiatives when purchasing neededproducts for daily operations
• Expediting delivery of purchased parts and maintainingaccurate bill of material, item, and vendor master records
