Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Agent to support the Purchasing Department in bidding on new projects, maintaining scopes of work, and tracking blueprints and design changes.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (or 1–2 years related experience) and will join a Fortune 500 company offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Solicit bids.
• Pre-qualify subcontractors.
• Set up and monitor option costs and sales prices.
• Maintain and update current budgets.
• Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases.
• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review.
• Input original Direct Costs budget.
• Execute lot starts and final proof all unit costs.
