Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support the Purchasing Department. The role focuses on bidding on new projects, managing scopes of work, and tracking design changes while maintaining budgets and direct costs.

Salary range is $60,000-$70,000 based on experience and is bonus eligible. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years of related experience and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required.
• Experience or training in purchasing/budgeting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pre-qualify subcontractors.
• Setup and monitor option costs and sales prices.
• Maintain and update current budgets.
• Spread revised bids and obtain approval for price increases.
• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review.
• Input original Direct Costs budget.
• Execute lot starts and finalize unit costs.

Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Purchasing Agent for their Purchasing Department. The right candidate will bidon new projects, maintain scopes of work, track blueprints and design changes, etc.

Salary Range : $60,000-$70,000, based on experience. This position is bonus eligible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pre-qualify subcontractors

• Maintain and update current budgets

• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review
• Input original Direct Costs budget
• Execute lot starts and final proof all unit costs

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
