Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for puppies: nutritional, behavioral, environmental, and maintenance needs.
• Perform opening, daily and closing procedures in the kennel.
• Complete cleaning checklists to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
• Monitor health of all puppies and kittens; keep proper records.
• Ensure proper nutrition, socialization, and cleaning as per expectations.
• Assist store veterinarian with puppy and kitten exams and provide prescribed care and medications.
• Support trained 'key holders' in coaching other Animal Care Technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
