Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm in the United States is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with expertise in Linux and Windows systems. In this full-time role, you will manage clusters using configuration tools like Puppet or Chef, collaborate with development teams for automation, and ensure high availability of infrastructure solutions. A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience is required. This opportunity is open to U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of web, database, and OS server configuration, preferably Linux, Apache, and MySQL.
• 4+ years of experience in Information Technologies.

Job Description

• Experience maintaining large clusters using configuration tools such as Puppet/Chef
• Strong practical Linux and Windows‑based systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment
• Prior experience of operating highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions
• Strong hands‑on experience in any of the scripting languages Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby
• Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, etc.)
• Work with development teams to identify and implement automation in appropriate areas
• Knowledge on distributed applications/enterprise applications is plus.
• Deep, working knowledge of web, database, and OS server configuration (Linux, Apache, and MySQL preferred platforms)
• Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technologies.
