Mercor is seeking a Punjabi-language Music & Lyrics Expert for a remote contract role. You will evaluate AI-generated music and lyrics, rate quality, and compare lyrics to published works while maintaining high standards.

The position offers up to 6 months with a 20-hour weekly commitment and an immediate start. Ideal candidates have native Punjabi proficiency, strong instruction-following in English, and a background in songwriting or music journalism.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Punjabi.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• Experience as a songwriter/lyricist/performer/composer or music journalist.
• Knowledge of the Punjabi music scene.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music across genres and rate it against quality standards.
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities.
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality.
• Assess whether lyrics sound natural, considering word choice and regional expressions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet evaluation deadlines.
