Job summary

Burkentine and Sons Builders Inc is seeking experienced carpenters for the Punch Out Technician/Carpenter role. You will manage and complete various small projects on schedule, oversee QA, and coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to maintain Burkentine standards.

Responsibilities include inspections with local jurisdictions, customer-facing coordination with homeowners, and ensuring deficiencies are corrected. Travel to job sites is required as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience.
• Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to travel to jobsite(s) as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Review, organize, and execute lists and tasks provided by the Project Manager to assist with quality control and building completion.
• Perform quality control checks in new construction units to meet Burkentine standards.
• Track and communicate with the project team regarding completion of tasks and any issues found during tasks.
• Identify subcontractors with continued quality control issues and coordinate with them to ensure timely completion of issues.
• Utilize handwritten and digital means to track, organize, and execute work.
• Work with multiple individuals on multiple project sites.
• Participate in required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Liaise with homeowners/clients to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified.

Burkentine is growing and looking for experienced carpenters to join our dynamic and talented team! As a Punch Out Technician/Carpenter, you will put your extensive skills and experience to use to manage and effectively complete various small projects in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Review, organize, and Execute Lists and Tasks provided by the Project Manager to assist with quality control and building completion.
• Perform Quality Control Check in new construction units to meet Burkentine Standards.
• Track and Communicate with the project team regarding completion of tasks as well as any items or issues found during performing tasks.
• Identify subcontractors with continued quality control issues to the project team to be addressed and coordinate directly with subcontractors to ensure completion of issues in accordance with delivery timelines.
• Utilize hard copy (handwritten) and digital means to track, organize, and execute job properly.
• Be able to function and work with multiple individuals on multiple project sites.
• Participate in required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Liaise with homeowners/clients as necessary to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team
