Job summary

Q2 Artificial Lift Services in Hobbs, NM is searching for a Pump Shop Technician I to support shop operations, assist with cleaning, inspection, assembly, and handling of rod pumps and oilfield equipment. You will help ensure equipment is prepared safely and efficiently while supporting inventory, shipping, and general shop activities.

The role requires basic technical aptitude, valid driver’s license, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Experience in oil and gas is a plus.

Qualifications

• Oil & Gas experience considered an asset.
• Technical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Pick up & deliver rod pumps and well-site equipment.
• Load/Unload field trucks and third-party trucks.
• Stock receiving and forklift operation.
• Inspect rod pumps & oilfield equipment; use solvents and API tools.
• General administrative duties: stock orders, computer use, answering phones, and shop housekeeping.

Position Summary

The Pump Shop Technician I supports shop operations by assisting with the cleaning, inspection, assembly, and handling of rod pumps and oilfield equipment. This role ensures equipment is prepared safely and efficiently while supporting inventory, shipping, and general shop activities.

Basic Employee Responsibilities

• Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a manager or request for assistance as needed.

Position Specific Responsibilities

• Pick up & delivery of rod pumps and well‑site equipment
• Load/Unload field trucks and/or 3 rd party trucks

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Oil & Gas experience considered an asset

Physical Demands

• Standing for up to 8 hours
• Periodic heavy lifting up to 50lbs
