Job summary

MetroConnects is seeking a Pump Station Electrical Foreman to oversee electrical maintenance at multiple pump stations. The role ensures tasks are completed correctly, safely, and on schedule, with direction from the Pump Station Manager.

Ideal candidates hold a SC Journeyman Electrician Certification, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid SC driver’s license. Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of pump stations.
• Journeyman Electrician Certification (MASC) required.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and inspections of the pump stations.
• Receives directions and assignments from the pumpstation Manager and performs assigned tasks as directed.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment within enclosures, control panels, switch gear and MCC’s as required.
• Install/replace electrical enclosures, control panels, switch gear, MCC’s and other electrical equipment as required.
• Performs scheduled quarterly inspections on air release valves.
• Utilizes the asset management system to create and complete work orders, child work orders, tasks, and inspections.
• Takes On-Call and responds to emergency calls as necessary.
• Conducts job site safety, and safety inspections, per company policy and procedures and all local, state and federal regulations.
• Maintains and cleans all wet wells as scheduled.
• Performs grounds maintenance around all pump stations as scheduled.

Pump Station Electrical Foreman

MetroConnects (Metro) is a special-purpose district, governed by a seven-member commission that operates and maintains 1,500 miles of sanitary sewer mains and 26 sewer pump stations within Greenville County, South Carolina. Metro is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the available full-time Electrician Foreman.

This position ensures that crew members complete tasks correctly and in a timely manner. This position reports to the Pump Station Manager.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and inspections of the pump stations.
• Receives directions and assignments from the pumpstation Manager and performs assigned tasks as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• Basic knowledge of pump stations.
• Must possess a current MASC Journeyman Electrician Certification.
• Possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Compensation

Salary is negotiable based on experience. MetroConnects offers a competitive benefits package including South Carolina Retirement and comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance. No relocation assistance is provided. A background check and drug screening are a condition of employment. MetroConnects also conducts random drug screening during employment.
