Job summary

ERL Inc. seeks a Pump Shop Helper to support the Pump Shop Department by assisting pump mechanics with repair, assembly, and maintenance of industrial pumps. This role suits someone mechanically inclined who learns quickly in a hands-on shop environment.

You will help keep the shop organized, safe, and efficient while developing skills for future advancement to pump mechanic or other technical positions. Valid driver's license required; TWIC card a plus.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn industrial pump repair.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Capable of lifting heavy components and performing physically demanding work.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• TWIC Card is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean pump components using solvents, wire brushes, grinding wheels, and other cleaning equipment.
• Assist Pump Mechanics with disassembly, inspection, assembly, and testing of pumps and related equipment.
• Gather, organize, and supply tools, parts, and materials needed by Pump Mechanics during repair and assembly processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving equipment throughout the shop as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Perform other shop-related duties as assigned to support daily operations.
