Capital Pump & Equipment in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Pump Repair Technician to ensure pumps are in optimal operating condition at our Salt Lake City location and onsite as needed. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair pump malfunctions and complete complex repairs on returned rentals.

The role requires mechanical aptitude with 2+ years of experience in diesel/electric pump repairs, strong diagnostic skills, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with at least 2 years' experience with diesel and/or electric pump repairs and similar equipment.
• Ability to diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Ability to manage all repairs, maintenance, and test tasks efficiently.
• Ability to perform work safely using proper hand/power tools.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Must be able to have professional and comprehensive communication with team members and the Service Manager.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Installs and ensures the efficient and safe operations of all pump equipment, new or replacement parts.
• Inspect and repair pumps to ensure efficient operation and proper functioning equipment.
• Disassembles broken or defective pump equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble when repairs are complete.
• Perform routine maintenance to all pump equipment.
• Keeps accurate and timely records of equipment movement, installation progress, service schedules, customer interactions, and other paperwork as required for proper documentation of work performed.
• Clean and evaluate all repaired equipment to ensure operations and appearance are up to company standards.

The Role

We're seeking a Pump Repair Technician to support our Salt Lake City, UT operations. In this role, you'll ensure pumps are in optimal operating condition at both our Salt Lake City branch and onsite at job sites as needed.
