Job summary

ChampionX, now part of SLB, is seeking a Pump Repair Technician for our Dickinson, ND location. You will interface with customers, repair and manage pumps and parts, and perform standard warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates will be mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required, with good communication and safety awareness throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
• Must be 21 or older to drive company vehicle.
• Some computer skills expected.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good driving record.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Solid technical skills to understand measuring machines and metalworking processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documents.
• Self-motivated and disciplined to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Good organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers and manage repairs of parts and pumps.
• Handle warehouse duties and inventory management.
• Assemble and disassemble rod pumps.
• Load and unload trucks delivering parts and pumps.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Repair pumps and deliver to their location.
• Answer phones and greet customers.
• Other duties as required.

What You Will Do:

• The Repair Technician’s role is to interface with customers, manage repairs of parts and pumps and complete various warehouse management responsibilities.

• Position requirements include strong interpersonal skills, highly self-motivated, ability to work both independently and team-oriented, mechanically inclined.

• Manage and pull inventory

• Assemble and disassemble rod pumps

• Standard warehouse duties

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Load and unload trucks of parts and pumps when delivered to the warehouse

• Stock material

• Answer phones and greet customers

• Repair pumps and deliver to their location

• Other duties as required

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Drug and alcohol test

• Criminal background check

• MVR

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diplomaor equivalent

• Valid driver’s license in state of residence required

• Must be age 21 or older to drive company vehicle

• Some computer skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Good driving record

• Basic math and analytical skills

• Solid technical skills to understand computerized measuring machines and metalworking processes

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

• Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

• The employee is regularly required to talk or hear

• The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the oil and gas industry
