Job summary
Los Alamos National Security LLC seeks an experienced R&D Electrical Engineer to design, test, and field high-energy electronic assemblies at the M-6 group in Los Alamos, NM. You will own design tasks, work with scientists and technicians, and help translate experimental requirements into robust hardware.
Role blends circuit design with experimental physics, requiring learning specialized physics of loads and events.
Qualifications
- Engineering: Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in electrical engineering, including hands-on circuit and electronic assembly design.
- Knowledge of analog electronics and the integration of digital controllers into analog circuits.
Responsibilities
- Translate experimental concepts, physical behavior, and technical requirements into fieldable electronic and electrical assemblies.
- Own the technical lifecycle of the assemblies you create and serve as the subject matter expert for their design, operation, limitations, troubleshooting, and future modification.
- Develop new and novel designs while sustaining, troubleshooting, documenting, and modernizing legacy designs.
- Knowledge of analog electronics and the integration of digital controllers into analog circuits.
