Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Capital Project Engineer – Commissioning in the United States. The role requires extensive Pulp and/or Paper Machine CC&S experience and strong capital project background. You will lead CC&S from project approval through startup, coordinating with the Construction, Checkout and Commissioning teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience within papermills.
• Significant CC&S experience in pulp/paper operations.
• Willingness to travel 70–85% of the time.
• Ability to work independently within project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CC&S process from project approval through startup.
• Develop and review commissionable systems and commissioning procedures.
• Oversee Integrated Factory Acceptance Tests to simulate commissioning.
• Build and maintain CC&S schedules as systems/equipment become available.
• Ensure CC&S activities adhere to safety standards.
