Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Evadale, TX, is seeking a Pulp Mill Manager to lead safe and efficient production in the mill. You will coach supervisors and team members to meet safety, quality and production KPIs while managing daily operations and costs.

The role requires strong leadership, at least 10 years in pulp/paper mills with supervisory experience, and a solid understanding of mill machinery. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; excellent communication and safety culture are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years pulp or paper mill experience; 5+ years supervisory.
• Working knowledge of pulp mill machinery (digesters, washers, MC/Thick Stock Pump).
• Strong leadership, communication, and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe and efficient production operations.
• Coach assistant superintendents, shift supervisors and team members.
• Monitor performance, safety, quality, and production KPIs.
• Plan and manage mill budget and maintenance scheduling.
