Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking a Chemical/Biochemical Engineering intern to assist with routine engineering tasks under supervision. You will work on detail design calculations, sketches, and reports, while learning drafting standards and preliminary design methods.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a BS in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering with a 2.7+ GPA, and have, or are developing, familiarity with process calculations, simulation software, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science degree program for Chemical or Biochemical Engineering.
• GPA of 2.7 or above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with chemical/process engineering calculations (material and energy balances, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mass transfer).
• Familiarity with chemical engineering simulation (Aspen Plus, PRO/II, ChemCad) and hydraulic analysis software (AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, SiNet).
• Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD or Microstation, or both).

What You'll Be DoingJob Scope: Generally responsible for performing routine engineering tasks of less complex assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods.
