Job summary

Norton Community Hospital, part of Ballad Health, seeks a BC/BE Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician to join its robust service line in Virginia. You'll diagnose and manage lung diseases, participate in Black Lung clinics, and lead ICU consults with access to latest ION bronchoscopy tech.

The role offers on-the-job training in Black Lung, a strong support staff, campus-based education, and potential research opportunities, with a comprehensive benefits package and CME allowance.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Pulmonology with Critical Care.
• Arterial line placement and bronchoscopy experience; EBUS is a plus.
• On-the-job training in Black Lung disease and related pulmonary care.
• Work with Internal Medicine Residents and teaching responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Observe, diagnose and treat lung diseases; provide ICU consults.
• Participate in the Black Lung clinic and oversee patient care.
• Collaborate with residents and other staff; contribute to research opportunities.

Job description

Norton Community Hospital , a member of Ballad Health, is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician to join its growing service line. The provider will join a team that observes, diagnoses, and prepares patients for testing and treatment of diseases of the lung, as well as participate in one of the nation s busiest Black Lung Clinics, provides consults for ICU Critical Care patients and have access to our latest addition - ION Bronchoscopy equipment.

This unique opportunity will include on-the- job training in the growing field of Black Lung disease, while expanding your skill set as a Physician. Candidates should possess skills including arterial line placement and bronchoscopies (Critical Care and EBUS experience is a plus).
