Job summary

Medrina is seeking a Pulmonology physician in Illinois to join our growing Respiratory Program in DeKalb. This part-time role (10-20 hours/week) is offered as a 1099 independent contractor with no on-call requirements and weekday scheduling.

You will provide biweekly SNF pulmonary consults, oversee NPs, document in EMR, and participate in our collaborative, physician-owned group with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois medical license required.
• Board eligible or certified in Pulmonology.
• Active DEA license.
• Minimum 1 year of pulmonology experience.
• Experience with adult/geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide biweekly pulmonary consults to SNF patients with assessments and treatment planning.

We are a large physician-owned group expanding in the DeKalb, IL area. As part of our Respiratory Program, we are seeking a pulmonologist to join our team consulting, overseeing NPs providing consults, with profit-sharing opportunities. We offer generous compensation, flexible scheduling, and no on-call requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide biweekly pulmonary consults to SNF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR

Preferred Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois license
• Board Eligible/Certified in Pulmonology
• Active DEA license

Minimum 1 Year Of Pulmonology Experience

• Experience working with respiratory patients in an acute or post-acute setting.
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills

Scheduling Options

• Part-Time 10-20 hours per week

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
• Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirement.
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
