Job summary

UPMC Altoona is recruiting a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Pulmonology team. The role features a 75% outpatient clinic focus and 25% inpatient collaboration with an MD, providing continuity of care for hospitalized patients. The schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional weekend rounding on a 3-week rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• National certification through NCCPA.
• BLS/CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Provide 75% outpatient clinic care and 25% inpatient support with physician supervision.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in patient and family education and discharge planning.
