Job summary

Carle Health in Olney, IL seeks a BE/BC Pulmonary Medicine physician to join the Pulmonology Department at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. The role is mostly outpatient, with bronchoscopy, PFT interpretation, and inpatient consultations.

There are no on-call requirements, and an after-hours nurse advice line is available for patients. Academic and research opportunities exist with Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation’s first medical school focused on the intersection of healthcare

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine is required.
• Sleep Medicine training is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mostly outpatient position
• The Pulmonology Department currently offers services such as Pulmonary Function Studies and Pulmonary Rehab
• The Pulmonary Medicine physician would perform bronchoscopies, Pulmonary Function Test readings, and inpatient consultations
• No call responsibilities
• After hours nurse advice line is available for patients to call

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Medicine (BE/BC)
• Candidates with additional Sleep Medicine training ideal but not required
