Job summary

Beckley VA Medical Center in Beckley, WV, seeks a Pulmonary Specialist to evaluate and treat respiratory diseases in inpatient, ICU and outpatient settings. You will interpret pulmonary function tests and provide care for conditions such as COPD, asthma, and sleep disorders when sleep-certified.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, bronchoscopies, ordering imaging and labs, collaborating with other specialties, and staying current with BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and license to practice in the United States.
• Board certification in pulmonary medicine preferred.
• Experience in inpatient, ICU and outpatient pulmonary care beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Diagnose and treat pulmonary diseases and disorders.
• Interpret Pulmonary Function Tests.
• Perform Bronchoscopies.
• Order routine diagnostic imaging studies and labs.
• Collaborate with other specialties and participate in performance improvement.
• Maintain BLS/ACLS as required.
• On-call for pulmonary issues during weekends and holidays.
