Job summary
Mercyhealth in Freeport, Illinois, invites an experienced Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Physician to join our full-time team. The role focuses on outpatient pulmonology and sleep medicine, including sleep study interpretation, bronchoscopy, PFT, LDCT, and EPIC EMR workflows.
The ideal candidate is MD/DO board certified or eligible in pulmonary medicine, with completion of an Internal Medicine residency and fellowship training in pulmonary medicine or pulmonary/critical care, plus sleep medicine
Qualifications
- MD/DO Board Certified/Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine or Pulmonary/Critical Care
- Sleep Medicine training, Board Certification, or Board Eligibility appropriate to the role
- Skilled at providing exceptional, patient-centered care
- Ability to communicate clearly and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Sleep study interpretation
- Bronchoscopy
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
- Low-Dose CT (LDCT) interpretation
- Outpatient Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine duties
