Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine team in Buckhead, Georgia. This full-time outpatient role focuses on pulmonary and sleep patients.

Qualifications

• GA licensed Physician Assistant with current Georgia license. (PA)
• Georgia licensed Advanced Practice Nurse with MSN and GA nursing license. (NP)
• Experience in outpatient pulmonary/sleep medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Document progress notes and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Coordinate orders for diagnostic studies (PFTs, sleep studies, imaging) and interpret results.

Overview

Piedmont Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep office in Buckhead. This is a full-time outpatient position focusing on pulmonary and sleep medicine patients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Ambulatory care responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Functions as an independent provider in a busy Pulmonary and Sleep office with MD’s available to assist in evaluating complex patients as needed.
• Takes patient histories, conducts physical examinations, writes progress notes, and develops appropriate treatment plans.
• Orders and interprets laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures including Chest X-rays, Chest CT’s Pulmonary Function testing, and Sleep studies. Explains necessity, nature, and results of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedure(s) to the patient.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board

or

NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing
