UNC Health Pardee is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonary physician with required board certification in Sleep Medicine to join our hospital-employed team in Hendersonville, NC. The role covers inpatient and outpatient services within a collaborative practice.

The selected candidate will join a well-established team with opportunities in EBUS, robotic bronchoscopy, and a dedicated lung nodules clinic, contributing to our comprehensive cancer program and sleep services.

Qualifications

• Fellowship trained in pulmonary medicine is required.
• Board certified or board eligible in pulmonary medicine is required.
• Board certification in sleep medicine is preferred.
• Eligible for North Carolina medical license.

Responsabilités

Looking to join a thriving practice in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina? Look no further! UNC Health Pardee is seeing a board certified/board eligible Pulmonary physician with required board certification in Sleep Medicine to join our well established, hospital-employed team.

Position Summary

The selected candidate will join a well-established, collaborative practice providing inpatient and outpatient services.

Practice & Hospital Highlights:

• Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
• Robotic Bronchoscopy
• Dedicated Lung Nodule Clinic
• Comprehensive Cancer Program (hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, nurse navigation, infusion services, chemotherapy, clinical trials)
• 222-bed acute care hospital
• 11-bed adult open ICU
• Outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program
• Four-bed sleep lab
• Established outpatient sleep evaluation services
• Epic EMR utilized in clinic and hospital settings

Current Team Structure:

• 3 clinic-based Pulmonary physicians
• 3 clinic-based Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• 3 ICU-only physicians dedicated to inpatient critical care coverage

This structure allows for strong outpatient continuity, dedicated ICU support, and a balanced practice model.

Required Candidate Qualifications:

• Fellowship Trained in Pulmonary (Required)
• Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary (Required)
• Board certified in Sleep Medicine (Preferred)
• Eligible for North Carolina Medical License
