Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant for our Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine team. The role supports patient assessments, basic procedures, and administrative duties in a small, close-knit clinic.

Qualifications

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Previous medical office experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under provider supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform administrative duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Complete other tasks as delegated by practice leads, supervisors, managers or Market Director.
