Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support pulmonary research involving exposure of mice to cigarette smoke using a Teague device. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work under supervision with proper training in IACUC and EH&S.

Responsibilities include monitoring mice, recording weekly weights and exposure levels, genotyping if needed, and maintaining electronic files and lab equipment such as Teague, flexivent, mCT, and MilliQ water systems.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Compliance with IACUC and EH&S training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Expose mice to smoke using a Teague device and monitor smoke exposure levels.
• Obtain weekly weights and document in electronic records; discuss with PI/lab manager.
• Genotyping may be necessary; maintain lab notebooks and animal IDs.
