Carilion Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 8 Mountain PCU in Roanoke, VA. The unit specializes in medical patients, with a focus on pulmonary and respiratory conditions, delivering high-acuity care with advanced monitoring and teamwork.

Qualifications include VA RN licensure, BLS (ACLS/PALS may be required), and EPIC proficiency. The role offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package in a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; may be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on unit.
• Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimum outcomes.
• Age specific assessment and plan of care.
• Collaborates with health care team to develop an age-specific plan of care.
• Administers and documents treatments and medications using EMR systems.
• Educates patient/family and contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
• Acts as patient advocate and supports psychosocial/cultural needs.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise and improves care processes.
