Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team.

You will provide care to residents with respiratory conditions in long-term care settings, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. The role includes conducting exams, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatments, performing spirometry and chest X-rays, educating families, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted NP/PA/Physician license.
• DEA license.
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Master's Degree in Nursing and NP program accreditation.
• Experience documenting in EMR systems (Sigma, Visual, PCC) preferred.
• Local travel required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk up to 6–8 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
• Diagnose and treat respiratory illnesses such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia.
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans based on history and presentation.
• Prescribe medications and therapies including inhalers and antibiotics.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and adherence.
• Perform spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analyses.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Local Travel Required
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
