Job summary

Sanofi seeks a Pulmonary Medical Science Liaison for the US Immunology team, based in New York. You will report to the East Pulmonary Regional Director and work across Medical Affairs to support immune-related therapies.

You will articulate scientific value to external stakeholders, build relationships with KOLs, and collaborate on evidence generation while traveling up to 70% of the time. A doctoral-level degree and 2+ years in this space are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or medical field (MD, PhD, PharmD, MS, or equivalent clinical advanced degree).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry, field medical role, or relevant clinical practice.
• Must reside in territory and be able to travel approximately 70% of the time, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Articulate the medical and scientific value of our products to external stakeholders using disease knowledge and market context.
• Establish robust, long-term peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other stakeholder partners.
• Plan territory engagement interactions using the Scientific Engagement Model with KOLs, HCPs, and payers.
• Evaluate information from studies and stakeholder interactions to inform medical strategy.
• Stay current on medical advances to identify research opportunities and support evidence generation.

Main Responsibilities

• Uses strong knowledge of relevant disease and disease management protocols, healthcare environment and competitors to articulate the medical and scientific value of our products with external stakeholders.
• Establishes robust, long-term peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other stakeholder partners.
• Effectively utilizes the Scientific Engagement Model to plan territory and individual stakeholder (Key Opinion Leaders, HCPs, Payers) engagement interactions consistent with the Field Base Medical Activity Plan and medical function priorities.
• Critically and routinely evaluates information gained from published studies and stakeholder interactions to develop key insights that deepen our understanding of the markets needs and opinions of external stakeholders and therefore contribute to enhancement of medical strategy.
• Keeps abreast of medical and scientific developments in the therapeutic field to help identify and critically assess research opportunities and plays a supportive role in the execution of evidence generation plans to enhance the value of our products in real-world setting.
• Collaborates with our Clinical Studies Unit to support clinical trials.
• Responds to unsolicited requests regarding interest in investigator sponsored studies (ISS) and supports ISS submissions through appropriate internal processes.
• Organizes educational meetings or local scientific advisory boards when requested.
• Supports speaker training.
• Responds to unsolicited requests for medical information associated with supported products and disease state area.

About You

Basic Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or medical field (MD, PhD, PharmD, MS, or equivalent clinical advanced degree)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry, field medical role, or relevant clinical practice (Fellowship, Internship or academic experience will be considered).
• Must reside in territory
• Ability to travel approximately 70% of the time including weekend conferences

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior MSL or field medical experience in allergy, immunology, or respiratory therapeutic area
• Experience engaging with KOLs, payers, and healthcare providers
• Experience supporting clinical trials or investigator sponsored studies
• Proficiency with digital tools and CRM platforms
