Job summary

Vanderbilt Health's Pulmonary ICU team seeks a Program Coordinator to partner with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to advance clinical initiatives, staff development, quality outcomes, and practice improvement within the Pulmonary ICU.

The role provides an opportunity to build experience aligned with Clinical Nurse Specialist practice while contributing to the unit's clinical and professional goals.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• MSN/DSN with CNS preparation or equivalent.
• Willingness to enroll in CNS program within program timeframe.
• Adult critical care nursing experience.
• Interest in evidence-based practice and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Act as consultant and liaison to promote unit goals.
• Review care plans and support nursing staff as a resource.
• Educate and model new skills and care modalities.
• Mentor nursing staff in clinical, professional and research practices.
• Promote staff development across the specialty area.
• Coordinate orientation and continuing education systems.
• Participate in scholarly and/or research activities.
