Formación

• MD or DO required for physician leadership role.
• Board certification in Pulmonary or Pulmonary Critical Care.
• Experience in leadership and program development preferred.

Job Summary:

Geisinger is seeking a board certified Pulmonary or Pulmonary Critical Care physician to serve as Director of Pulmonary Medicine at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a physician interested in innovation, team development, passion for quality care and collaboration with interdisciplinary departments.
The Director will play a key role in advancing clinical excellence, fostering program growth, and shaping a mission driven vision for Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. Dedicated FTE support is provided for leadership responsibilities, alongside ongoing clinical practice in pulmonary or pulmonary critical care.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment efforts to build and sustain a high‑performing clinical team
• Drive program development and service line growth
• Ensure alignment with best practices across critical care medicine
• Champion site‑specific innovation

Provide leadership oversight of pulmonary and critical care faculty, including:

• Performance evaluations
• Quality assessments and input for OPPE

This position reports to the Chair of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.
