Job summary

VCU Health in Virginia seeks a pulmonary and critical care physician to join the Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine and support the Comprehensive Care Center for Pulmonary Hypertension.

The role will expand critical care and general pulmonology coverage, with duties spanning inpatient and outpatient care, teaching, and scholarly activity. Board eligibility is required with a strong commitment to professionalism.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Successful completion of an ACGME‑approved pulmonary and critical care fellowship.
• Board Eligible for Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
• Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: integrate students and residents into clinical services.
• Research: engage in scholarly activities such as publications and presentations.
• Service: contribute to institutional committees and quality initiatives.
• Clinical: provide exemplary care in pulmonary disease and critical care, including pulmonary hypertension support.
• Outpatient: assist outreach to expand pulmonary clinics and pulmonary hypertension programs.
• Inpatient: support critical care services, including ICU admissions and APP team collaboration.
