UTMB Health seeks a full-time physician at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.

The position emphasizes high-quality inpatient pulmonary and critical care, along with teaching and scholarly activities. The successful candidate will contribute to clinical education, patient care, and quality improvement initiatives across UTMB’s campuses.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas.
• Experience in an academic medical center, teaching environment, or a community-based hospital preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient pulmonary and critical care.
• Inpatient ICU and pulmonary consults, including ventilator management.
• Outpatient pulmonary medicine evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal management.
• Supervise and teach fellows in inpatient pulmonary critical care.
• Participate in M&M, quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
