Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA, seeks a board-certified/eligible physician to join a growing Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine team. The role combines outpatient pulmonary care, inpatient critical care, and procedural time in a full‑time capacity.

The position offers opportunities to engage with Geisinger’s fellowship programs, enhancing education and mentorship for fellows, residents, and students.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Support growth of bronchoscopy program, with navigational bronchoscopy option at Geisinger Community Medical Center.
• Balance inpatient service (ICU, consults) with outpatient clinic and PTO/CME.
• Provide state-of-the-art care for conditions including lung cancer, COPD, asthma, pleural disease, sarcoidosis and pulmonary hypertension.
• Access to programs for lung nodules, home ventilation, and interstitial lung disease within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Participate in teaching with Geisinger’s Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship and residency programs.
