Job summary

PACS in Texas is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide respiratory therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct patient care for pulmonary conditions.

Education requirements include an Associate Degree (Graduate of a respiratory care program); BS preferred. Minimum 1 year of acute/subacute respiratory experience; must hold current RCP license, CPR/BLS and ACLS; strong communication and teamwork skills required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited school; graduate of a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science in health care field preferred.
• Minimum of one year respiratory experience in an acute/subacute unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from supervisor per policies.
• Assess signs and symptoms and document diagnoses.
• Develop and implement care plans for assigned patients.
• Performs interventions per plan of care and hospital policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and report changes as needed.
